 Day 01 Arrive in Beining (L)
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of new China and ancient capital for 5 dynasties lasted over 800 years. Greeted and transferred to hotel if room is available. Tour of the day will be Hutong (alley) tour by rickshaw and Temple of Heaven, leisure but enjoyable.
Day 02 Beijing (B/L/D)
Highlight of the day is to climb the astonishing Badaling Great Wall, six U.S. Presidents have visited the section of the 3100mi Wall since 1972. Ming Tombs and Sacred Way will be followed in the afternoon. Enjoy Beijing Duck Dinner at famous Quanjude Restaurant.
Day 03 Beijing - Xian (B/L)
Highlights of the day will visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace. Transfer to airport for flight to Xian, served as the capital for 73 emperors from 13 dynasties extending 1100 years, Xian is now the largest city in northwest China. Met and transferred to hotel upon arrival.
Day 04 Xian (B/L/D)
Some of 8000, 2200 years old, life-size Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses from Qin Dynasty are welcoming you today, the Bronze Chariots and Horses from same period as well. Banpo Museum shows you the Neolithic clan dated back about 6000years. The site was discovered in 1953 and the on-the-site museum was built in 1958. It is the first of its kind in China. Big wild Goose Pagoda will be the 3rd historical site of the day. Dinner & show at the Tang Dynasty will make you an unforgettable evening.
Day 05 Xian - Lhasa (B/L)
Take morning flight to Lhasa, capital of Tibetan Autonomous Region. Local guide will meet and transfer you to hotel. No sightseeing is arranged at all today but rest for acclimatizing the 12,000ft altitude.
Day 06 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Itinerary of the day includes Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The highlight is the mysterious and sacred Potala Palace, former living quarters of the Dalai Lama. Jokhang Temple is the spiritual center of Tibet. Everyday pilgrims come to prostrate themselves before the statue of Sakyamuni lavishly enthroned in silver and gold. It was said that Nepal Princess Tritsun decided to build a temple to house the Jowo Sakyamuni aged 12 brought by Chinese Princess Wencheng. Then stroll around the Barkhor Street, a big free market with its prolific stalls selling local specialties.
Day 07 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest Monastery with over 10,000 monks, Sera Monastery is surrounded by many small temples. Compared with Drepung Monastery, Sera monastery is more serene. The 'Buddhism Scriptures Debating' in Sera is very famous. Norbulingka acted as summer resort of Dalai Lama and an extension of Potala Palace. It is the largest man-made gardens in Tibet and has been listed as World Cultural Heritage Site in 2001.
Day 08 Lhasa – Gyantse – Shigatse (B/L/D)
.jpg) Leave for Shigatse and pay a visit to Phalkor Monastery and pass Yamdrok Lake on the way. Yamdrok Lake is one of the three largest lakes of Tibet, lies about a hundred kilometers' distance to the southwest of Lhasa. A lot of colorful ducks and geese are swimming on the surface of the lake. There is also plenty of natural fodder for the fish in the lake. The coast of the lake is an ideal pasture. All these make a quite intoxicating picture. Check in hotel upon arrival in Shigatse.
Day 09 Shigatse – Lhasa (B/L/D)
pVisit Tashilhunpo Monastery, seat to the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader of Tibet. Return to Lhasa after lunch.
Day 10 Lhasa – Chengdu (B/L)
Transfer to airport for flight to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province and with 2000 years of history as well. Visit the Breed Base of Giant Panda and the Cottage of Dufu, a great poet in Tang Dynasty. Tea house is an unique scene in Chengdu.
Day 11 Chengdu – Shanghai (B/L)
Take morning flight to Shanghai, the commercial and financial capital of China. Tour includes Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden with the Old Town, a well design maze of elegant pavilions in the old section of the city, and stroll the Bund, the most famous waterfront in China, about one mile along the Huangpu River.
Day 12 Shanghai – USA (B)
Transfer to airport for flight to sweet home.
